“Sprout was always my nickname and my friends dared me to change my surname to Sprout,” he told the Daily Echo.

So rather than have ‘Sprout’ merely as his nickname Russell changed his surname to ‘Sprout’ too.

Russell certainly doesn’t include spouts in his five-a-day though!
