Deed poll for Elvis, ‘Thank you very much.’
How do you revive a rural grocery store that is having trouble competing with the supermarkets? How about creating a themed store complete with its very own rock and roll star. That’s what Nick Comino did when he changed his name by deed poll to Elvis Parsley.
And that’s not all the King of vegetables added :-
“Ever since the transformation of the business the joint’s been jumping. Take a jailhouse rockmelon, add some suspicious limes, love me tender tomatoes, blue swede shoes, and artichoke hotel, and you’re making music at Elvis Parsley’s. Nobody has given Nick the raspberry and the cash register’s been raisin hell.”
The quote is from “Good Enough Never Is” an inspirational book about rural business success, Written by Peter Kenyon.
